Rules for stage antics
Skit can be dramatic comedic, satirical or socially relevant, encouraging diverse perspective and artistic expression
Team Composition
- Students from any branch are allowed to participate.
- Each participant can be a part of only one team.
- Script, story line, timing, pacing, stage presence and audience engagement are the key.
Event Format
- Number of participants in a team should be 4 to 8 members.
- The maximum duration of each state should be 10 + 2 minutes (including set up and clearance time).
- The skit must be performed in Kannada/English.
- The script must be original and written in the specified language and be ready with the two copies of script and submit it to judgement panel.
- Participants must demonstrate a responsible level of proficiency in the specified language.
- Theme: the skit can be on any topic.
- Team must bring their properties which are necessary.
- Participants are responsible for properties and costumes.
Judging Criteria
- Content [30 points] content of the Skit like originality theme relevant script quality and message.
- Performance [20 points] acting, stage presence, timing and coordination, facial expression and body language.
- Production [20 points] set design, properties, costumes and makeup overall aesthetic.
- Creativity, unique element, risk taking, originality of concept and innovation [20 points].
- Overall impact and entertainment value[10 points].
Prizes
- Winner prize : Cash prize with certificate.
- Runnerup prize : Cash prize with certificate.
- Participation certificates will be awarded to all participants.
